The county-wide school system includes 8 elementary, 4 middle, 2 high schools, an Alternative School and a Performance Learning Center.
A new Bethlehem Elementary School was built and opened in 2003 located just outside of Bethlehem off Highway 11.
The town of Bethlehem, shares an intergovernmental agreement for planning services with Barrow County, which is the 24th fastest growing county in the nation. The new City Park and Pavilion was completed with SPLOST (Special Local OptionSales Tax) funds. The pavilion has a full kitchen and may be rented for events.
Bethlehem recently completed its future land use map with assistance from the Northeast Georgia Regional Development Center and combined its town codes and ordinances with the Barrow County Unified Development codes. Bethlehem's City Hall has a library depository with one public computer.The Community Center, next door to City Hall, can be rented for an event. The Community Center has a full kitchen and will accommodate 150 people.
